What is the working principle of the liquid filling machine?

2025-02-22

The working principle of the liquid medicine filling machine mainly includes the following key parts: storage tank, filling host, and conveying module.

 Pharmaceutical Liquid Filling Machine

Storage tank

The storage tank is located at the upper part of the equipment and is an atmospheric pressure tank with a liquid level sensor and a feed solenoid valve. The liquid material sent from the previous process is placed into the tank through an electromagnetic valve. When it reaches the appropriate liquid level, the liquid level sensor sends a signal to close/stop the feeding process; When the material level drops to the specified position, the feeding solenoid valve is automatically opened for feeding. The lower part of the storage tank has a discharge port connected to the suction pipe of the filling host through a pipeline. When the host is working, the liquid in the storage tank is drawn into the piston cylinder and then filled into the bottle through the nozzle.

Filling host

The filling host is the main device for completing the filling action. The front of the host is equipped with several filling heads, and there are suction cylinders on both sides, with each cylinder corresponding to a filling head. The liquid in the storage tank is drawn into the cylinder, then pressed out and filled into the corresponding bottle through the filling head. There is a micro cylinder on the filling head that drives a small piston to open and close the nozzle of the filling head, acting as a valve. When filling is about to begin, insert the nozzle into the bottle and open the small piston at a certain distance from the bottom of the bottle to start filling. The filling head is filled while rising until the filling is complete, then close the nozzle and raise it to the position of the bottle mouth.

Transmission module

The conveyor belt motor is controlled by a frequency converter to achieve stepless speed change and economical operation. After the motor is started, the inlet cylinder retracts and empty bottles are fed into the conveyor belt, starting to enter the bottles; Then the outlet cylinder extends, and the empty bottle sent in is intercepted by the outlet stopper. A photoelectric switch is installed at the bottle inlet to detect the number of bottles entering. When the number is the same as the number of filling heads, the inlet cylinder extends, blocking the inlet and preventing further bottle entry. The conveyor motor stops. After the filling is completed, the filling head rises, the outlet cylinder retracts, and the conveyor motor starts to rotate again, sending out the filled bottles.
